INVESTMENT TRUST COMPANY

Финансовое учреждение, осуществляющее выпуск собственных акций, средства от продажи которых широкой публике используются для инвестиций в ценные бумаги и другие финансовые активы (акции и облигации корпораций, государственные ценные бумаги с фиксированной процентной ставкой). Акции трастовых компаний свободно обращаются на фондовой бирже. Трастовые компании особенно привлекательны для мелких вкладчиков, которые стремятся защитить свои активы от риска потерь и передать управление ими в руки профессионалов. В отличие от паевых фондов (см. Unit trust) инвесторы трастовых компаний являются их акционерами. В Великобритании сейчас насчитывается около 250 таких компаний, деятельность которых регулируется Управлением финансовых услуг (см. Financial Services Authority). См.
